WELCOME
The Archive of Ecuadorian Oral History provides access to hundreds of narratives told by the diverse communities of Ecuador. The archive seeks to preserve the oral traditions of story-telling and recognizing the role that such narratives play in the creation of collective memory and cultural identity in the region. We hope the archive will provide a valuable resource for students and researchers interested in Andean culture, oral histories, ethnography, anthropology, and related fields.
This project has recently launched. New narratives and transcripts will be uploaded regulary. We thank you in advance for your patience.
